Calm Before the Storm

Last night I took a few minutes, before meeting my son after his training run, to steal away to one of my favourite spots.  The Victoria Woods Trail at the University of Guelph Arboretum did not disappoint.  The air was still and quiet with a fierce spring storm not far away.

This gave me time for a quiet reflection surrounded by a carpet of white petals.

With the trees just starting to bud, the spring colour was all around me on the forest floor.

Yesterday’s quiet walk left me feeling grounded, focused and much calmer amidst a landscape designer’s busy spring!  I hope you enjoy the photos.
